PROS AND CONS

My Northumbria (Pros)
• Access all student websites in one place
• Personalise the layout and colour of your own account
• Easy to read and understand
• You can find the things you are looking for easily
• Pay Fees/Accommodation Costs
(Cons)
• It doesn't work well with Google Chrome• Isn’t modern looking
• Isn’t very visually pleasing
• Unnecessary information

 Northumbria (Pros)
• Quite visually pleasing
• Looks quite modern and up to date
• Easy to locate the information that you need
• Looks professional
• Works well on most devices such as laptops/phone/tablet
• Links to Twitter/ Facebook/ Youtube
(Cons)
• A lot of different options and buttons to click on, can be quite confusing
• Not very exciting for prospective students as the webpage is quite boring
• Strange Layout

Northumbria Email (Pros)
• Email Folders
• You can access your tutors Email Addresses
• Calendar
(Cons)
• outdated
• not easy to get on phones therefore inconvenient

Blackboard (Pros)
• Modules are in categories which means they are easy to locate
• Available as an app for mobiles
• Easily accessible
• Announcements are clear
• Live noticeboard
(Cons)
• Folders are unclear
• Notifications are unclear
• Too much information in one place
• Not easy to understand
• Not visually pleasing

Nora (Pros)
• easy to find books
• easy to take out books
• gives clear info about when book has to be back
• can be formatted to fit phone
• gives useful info about resources
• can link it to Facebook/Twitter

Student Union (Pros)
• gives up to date info on all the events happening around the uni
• has an app so is comparable on phone
• links all students together
(Cons)
• a lot is happening in the first page, so is a little difficult to navigate
